We love being outside! Here are a few things that we love to do around the lake!
Hiking
The Lone Star Hiking Trail is the longest continuous hiking trail in Texas! With over 96 miles of trail and an additional 32 miles of loops, the LSHT is an ideal trail for either a short day hike, or a planned multi day hike. Comprising of mostly single track trails that meander through the Sam Houston National Forest, the LSHT is not very physically demanding in terms of elevation but it does pose some problems in regard to fresh water. So make sure that you load up on the H2O!! There are multiple access points to the LSHT, but the most convenient (and coolest segment, in our opinion) is off of FM 945. This 7 mile segment will take you along and over Winters Bayou and has some great elevation changes.

Fishing
If you are looking for a professional guide service, Lake Livingston Adventures are your guys! With over 200 charter trips per year, these guys have the experience and lake knowledge to make sure that your cooler is full at the end of the day.
If you are looking to spend the day on the shore with a line in the water, there are several parks and public boat ramps that will allow you to stake your claim for the day. Most of the parks will have a day use fee, but it is well worth it because they will have restrooms, fish cleaning stations and ample parking areas.

Stand Up Paddleboarding
The newest activity to come to the lake is Stand Up Paddleboarding, or SUP, as the cool kids like to call it. SUP is a fun activity that the whole family can enjoy and the folks over at SUP LLTX will make sure that your time on the water is safe, fun and adventurous. If you are looking to get a quick workout in or if you are looking to spend a couple of hours exploring some of the coves around the lake then SUP is your answer.
